Jagdpanther (Late)

This is the excelent new Tamiya kit of the tank destroyer based on the Panther chassis. I have represented the final production type, with the tools and some equipment reallocated mainly on the engine deck. The engine grilles are PE also from Tamiya and the gun barrel has been replaced by a turned aluminium one. The tracks are a mixture of Modelkasten and Tamiya. The side skirts were made from plastic card. Some few PE parts from a On the Marks set were used.

The model has been mainly painted with Tamiya acrylics. Humbrol enamels were used for some details. Oil washes with several shades were applied. Drybrushing were very sparingly applied. The weathering was done with several shades of brown oils and with pastels.

The model tries to represent one of the last Jagdpanthers used in the defence of the Reich.
