Hi. I live in the Pacific Northwest and have been modeling again since about mid 2003. I am 50 years old and am married with 3 kids. My son is actually the one who got me back into modeling. He was interested in 1/48 airplanes and while at the store I spotted a Tamiya Panther and thought that might be fun. I was hooked. I finished the Panther and thought it was pretty hot stuff, then I discovered Track-links. Oh boy did I have a lot to learn. Then I discovered Ebay. Now, much to my wife's horror I have several years worth of kits waiting in line. I have found the internet to be my best tool, and resource. Sites like this, and the members there in, have been very helpful and inspiring for me.
My favorite subject is German and Russan WWII armor. I have not advanced to the point where historical accuracy is an issue, I just have fun building the kits. At this stage I enjoy getting a cheap kit (not one of the highly reviewed type) and working to try to make it into a "silk purse". This has done more to improve my skills than anything else. My main weakness (of many) is weathering.
