Model Gallery - Lance Whitford's Models

Lance Whitford

 Message me  My content

I was born in 1957 and am married with 3 children. I am a contract IT consultant specialising small to medium commercial database systems. I have been modelling for longer than I care to remember. I started out with aircraft but tanks captured my imagination early on and I rarely build anything else now. I have been active in the local club scene since the late 70's. I am a long time member of IPMS Auckland and am also coordinator and web master for AMPS New Zealand.

I specialise in WW II subjects. I usually have several dozen projects on the go in various states of assembly (often awaiting inspiration). I am Currently on a Soviet bent, thanks to the raft of interesting kits coming out of Eastern Europe. Recently published information has stirred my interest in New Zealand's use of armour in Italy so this could be the start of another series of models.
