Model Gallery - Rick Bennett's Models

 Message me  http://www.bennettspalette.com  My content

I had been building car models since the early 1960s and then in 1971 a friend brought over a couple of models he had bought to show me. One was the Monogram 1/48 Black Widow (with Shep Paine insert) and the other a new kit from Japan (the 8 ton Halftrack). They were fantastic and I have been hooked on military models ever since. Over the years the hobby has pretty much taken over the home and our life style. I certainly have a benefit in that the wife shares the hobby with me, sculpting and selling fantasy female figures.

I enjoy working in both the small scale and 1/35 ranges. I also very much enjoy painting figures and at times venture into diorama building.

My favorite part of the hobby is the building stage and learning of the technology of military vehicles. I suppose my least favorite part of the hobby is the trying to find space to store both built and unbuilt models.
