Australian M3 Stuart – National Museum of the Pacific War - Fredericksburg, Texas

This M3 Stuart served with the 2/6th Australian Armored Regiment, B Squadron. It was commanded by Sergeant Jack Lattimore. Lattimore’s tank was destroyed by a Japanese dual purpose anti-aircraft gun during an attack on Buna, New Guinea (December 24th, 1942).

There is an excellent article by Paul D. Handel on the Australian M3 Stuarts in New Guinea. You can review it on the Anzac Steel website (http://www.hobbyvista.com/anzacsteel/Armoured%20Vehicles/m3inactionph_1.htm)

If you plan to make an Australian version, these photos can assist you with either the Tamiya M3 kit or the New M3 kit from Academy.

Download the ZIP file (2407 K).
