Tim Streeter

 Message me  http://www.usarmymodels.com  My content

I've been back to modeling since 1990. My area of interest is WWII, primarly western Europe. After what I call my "field grey period," I've been immersed in U.S. specific projects.

I'm in my late 40's, and enjoy life with a very supportive wife, a 15 year old son who showed skills as a modeler (see Ben Streeter's "Victory in the Desert" diorama) but is now more interested in girls and RPG. I hope my 9 year old daughter.

After a decade in the high tech industry as a marketing manager, I'm a writer for an international medical association. I spent the first half of my career in marketing and public relations for various arts organizations.

Current Projects:
1) A relatively modestly sized diorama of a 155mm howitzer team receiving eagerly awaited mail during the winter of 1944-45. The diorama features a new product I helped initiate from Tiger Model Designs: empty fiberboard charge tubes for both the green and white propellant bags.

2) Monogram's old 1/48 C-47 Dakota is the centerpoint of a diorama of a stick of 101st Airborne paratroopers gearing up in the late afternoon of June 5 for their rendevous with destiny.

On Deck:
-- "A Gathering of Eagles," depicting a collection of paratroopers on the morning of June 6.

Completed projects:
"Stalingrad Christmas, 1942" completed May, 1999; received gold for best diorama at IPMS NordicCon Region V contest, May, 1999.

"Taking Aachen," completed September, 2000; received gold for best diorama and People's Choice award at IPMS NordicCon, September, 2000.

"Between Life and Death in the Hurtgen Forest" -- 28th Infantry Division battalion aid station in the Hurtgen Forest, featuring Italeri's Dodge ambulance, a Dodge beep and Tamiya jeep converted into ambulances, a Tamiya halftrack reworked to an M3A1, and nearly 50 figures. Completed September, 2001.
