This is militaria's third installment to the Militaria in Detail series. For this issue, they decided to tackle a very large subject. In my opinion, they should dedicate a book to each vehicle yet what they have here is very good.
The first part of the book is dedicated to the British Grant using three museum examples for their photo essays. Within 11 pages we find 41 color photos including four of the interior. The vehicles used preside at Bovington, Imperial War Museum, and Brussels' Musee Royal de l'Armee.
The second part covers the Sherman and no less than 20 museum examples are present.
These include;
M4(75) 6 photos of 3 examples
M4(105) 3 photos of 2 examples
M4 Composite IC "Firefly" 2 photos of 1 example
M4A1 DD high bustle turret 1 photo
M4A1 early direct vision ports 1 photo
M4A1(75) 2 photos of 1 example
M4A1(76) 15 photos of 5 examples
M4A2(76) 15 photos of 1 example
M4A3(76) 1 photo
M4A4 VC "Firefly" 22 photos of 4 examples
The third section is comprised of 18 1/35th scale left side views (not the best), one page illustrating rear hull angle variations and two of the different bogies. The last two offerings are interesting and useful.
The last section has six color profile views that are well done.
They took on a lot but the result is actually good.
Recommended.
