This particular set comes in a Ziploc bag with a plastic header and no instructions, as is the norm for Ultracast accessories. It is meant to be used with a vehicle that uses the Besa machine gun or one that is re-supplying a unit with Besa armed vehicles.
There are six perfectly cast Besa machine gun ammunition boxes on a common sprue along with two closed and one opened crate.
The crates have nice wood grain which is a bit heavily scribed but proper painting will minimize the look. Each crate seems designed to hold two of the ammunition boxes.
The ammunition boxes have a cord molded onto the side and I wish that they were slightly different on each of the boxes. While the cord would not be hard to replace, the similarity is obvious when boxes are placed side by side.
The casting is perfect and the separate case lid is to scale without any warping. Should warping appear on your part, dip it into very hot (just below boiling) water while it is still attached to the sprue. Do not hold it under the water for more than 30 seconds and make sure that it does not touch the sides or bottom of the water vessel.
The heat will cause the resin to relax to the shape it held within the mold.
This set is recommended for those scenes with Italeri's Cruisers and Tamiya's Cromwells. Thanks to Kevin for the sample.
