Tank Workshop has continued their release of simple updates and upgrade parts for current crops of kits.  Here, they have taken an older product and modified it for use on a new generation model.

Coming in a © Ziploc bag with a heavy stock paper header were the two replacement wheels with nicely done chain detail.  See photo one.  For illustrative purposes, I have included a set of their earlier wheels, without chains, designed for the Tamiya kit.  The changes done to the backside therefore become evident.  The third photo shows the original release designed for the Tamiya kit.

Being based on the Tamiya wheels, they have nice details and definition although a row of bolts appear only as raised circles.  Since the chains can obscure this detail, see the plain wheel in photo two.  A nice feature not added by Dragon is the Firestone logo. The TWS wheels also do not have the incorrect bulge depicted by Dragon.

The wheel does suffer from being slightly undersized and this is due to Tamiya's wheels being too small.  Fortunately, this is not evident when mounted since they lack the flattened portion of the Dragon wheel and this little bit takes up the difference.

It is a nice detail set and most would not notice that it is undersized.  My thanks to TWS for the review sample.
