WW2 Productions has recently released another excellent set of track-links, this time for the Tasca Panzer II 'Luchs'. As usual, the tracks are well detailed and easy to work with.

Contents

The set contains 210 links and one instruction sheet in a zipped bag. There is no other detail parts provided in the set, like their Tiger I track-link sets. There is only one kind of link for both left and right sides. With 94 links for left and 93 links for right side, you still have 23 links for spare tracks. There is a bubble hole on around 20 tracks in the set I have. Half of them will be invisible when assembled in a track length. The other half requires filling if they are to be used.

Construction

WW2P has improved their casting comparing to the old "Anvil" time. Cleaning work is almost nill to very little. An old tooth brush could do the work. Some filling may be required in some links but not that many. The building process is quite simple.

  1. Slip a link over the long pin of another link.
  2. Gently clip the track into place.

I did not do any cleaning or fillings and spent only one and half hours finishing the two track lenghts. The tracks perfectly fit into the drive sprocket in Tasca kit.

I found the-track links are more fragile than ModelKasten products. I can easily break a link into two or three pieces when pulling them out from the zipped bag. So extra care is needed here.

Conclusion

Although the rubber tracks offered in the Tasca model kit have extremely fine detail, there are a few mould marks on the inner side of the tracks. Some of them even become holes. With these WW2P track-links, you can get not only a natural sag but an also easy fit to any base with the workable suspensions of Tasca kit.

You can directly contact WW2P at ww2prod@optusnet.com.au for their products. Highly recommended.
