This product is designed to replace the "kit" radio in your German SPG (Wespe, Marder, Hornisse, Nashorn and other vehicles). While not only providing the radio, the kit includes many other pieces not normally included in any kit.

Upon opening the bag you will find two "sprues" of rather soft resin parts and two lengths of micro solder to wire your radio set. On the first sprue you will find the FuG Spr f radio set and two mounting brackets as well as a rain cover. The second sprue contains the transformer, relay, intercom, communications box, and a speaker. And naturally there is an instruction sheet. I was a little disappointed in the instruction sheet. On TMD's web site it says detailed installation instructions, what they provide is in my view a very basic wiring diagram. You will need to find some good references so you can install all of the parts in their correct locations.

The parts are cast in a rather soft grey resin, the casting blocks are on the large side but are intelligently placed. If you are careful you should have no problems removing the casting blocks. Though the castings are very nicely detailed and delicate (be careful when cleaning up the speaker), on my example the casting was not very clean. Some of the parts contained small blobs of resin that will need to be removed.

I recommend this radio set for anyone looking to build a German SPG.
