Ultracast have provided the modeler with a set to use on their latest vehicle or diorama. In a Ziploc bag with a cardboard header, we find nine perfectly cast ammunition boxes.
There are no blemishes, air bubbles, or lumps on any of the boxes which are molded onto a common sprue. These represent a common stamped box of the type used during World War II.
The detail is fine on five sides with only the bottom, where the sprue attaches, not having any detail.
Dimensions for each box are:
0.3 inch length (front to back in the photos)
0.225 inch in height
0.1 inch deep
These compare well with dimensions found on Ebay for similar boxes. It is a simple matter or removing them from the sprue, painting and attaching to your vehicle or diorama. For even greater detail, add decals or transfers from any one of the aftermarket producers.
With nine is a set, it is a good value.
