Tiger Model Designs has decided to concentrate on small update sets for 2008. One of the first sets I ordered was for Dragon’s US halftrack kits. As usual, my order arrived within a week of being placed.
In a © Ziploc bag with a heavy stock paper header were the two replacement wheels and a short piece of styrene rod. They are a direct replacement for the kit wheels. As has been mentioned many times, the kit wheels suffer from a slight bulging which should not be there due to the construction of the actual tire. The styrene rod is meant to be used to create a valve stem.
The tread seems correct and the item is based on the Dragon original which means that a manufacturer's name or tire size is not given.
As such, this is a real simple and useful update which corrects the issue without losing the proper diameter of the road wheels. While labeled as M2 road wheels, they can be used with any of Dragon's US Halftracks. It is recommended as a good value.
