This is the old Tamiya M3 Stuart kit. Being a primarily German armor modeller, I don't know much about this tank. I was a bit skeptical when I first received this kit from a friend of mine, but it builds into a fine and robust kit of an M3 Stuart. Amazing considering the age of this kit.
Construction is pretty straight forward as the kit comes only with two sprues and the two halves of the hull. The kit is molded in the standard Tamiya dark green plastic characteristic of Allied kits. The upper hull has most of the sponson molded except for a small section that is not covered, a little sheet styrene does the trick.
Rather amazingly for this kit, there is relatively little flash to clean up. One thing to watch out for are the tracks as they are simply HORRIBLE. They are warped and the end connectors are on the sides of the rubber pads, not at where the tracks are linked. They can be replaced with Academy's individual workable M3/M5 track links.
Overall, this is a FINE little kit. Highly recommended for weekend modellers. It is mighty small though... .
