The partial interior is just that, a partial interior for the anal retentive bolt counter who wants some detail for those judges who probe those gaping dark hatches with penlights. Actually, as it is, you can pretty much build a "full enough" interior. The major missing components are only the engine bay and the fighting compartment between the firewall and the support tress behind the radio operators/driver's compartment, and most of this is hidden when the turret is in place.
What you get. Well, almost everything. Take a full interior, minus the fighting compartment below the turret floor, the engine compartment and the P.E. frames for mounting equipment and this is what you have left. The resin in very crisp and without bubbles coming in a pleasant creme colour for those of you who don't like to clash. The Tank Workshop kit is specifically for the Tamiya Tiger I and seems to fit well. You get a box full resin, the carriers small enough to easily clip off. The instructions are acceptable, but, make it easy on yourself and use decent references. Major components included are: the turret floor, turret ring, inside of the front mantlet, support tress, torsion bars, transmission, and fuel cells/radiator compartment. Other niceties include periscopes for the commander's cupola, radio station, driver's console, nicely detailed seats, and all of the final drive components. There are also all of the little items expected such as water bottles, ammo bags, gasmask canisters, extra vision blocks, ammo cans and a sharp replacement hatch for the loader. Interestingly enough they include all of the parts for either an early or mid/late variant Tiger I leaving you a nice collection of resin for the parts bin.
My only criticism is that the transmission and fuel/radiator cells are way under scale. Compared to the Verlinden and Jaguar parts they look puny. However, for the purpose of viewing through hatches it is more than adequate. It is almost a shame to have to hide some of the finer details. I purchased this with the intention of building the interior in a disassembled Tiger. However unless I replace the transmission the size problem would be obvious.
I recommend this interior set aside from the size problem. The price cannot be beat, especially when you compare the price to the Tank Workshop "full" interior.
Pick one up if you can.
