The Panzerkampfwagen III Ausf. N was a close-support version of the Panzer III series. These vehicles were designed once the Panzer III became unable to deal with Russian armor and could no longer be upgraded to mount a more powerful anti-tank gun. The Ausf. N was a conversion typically of the Ausf. L & Ausf. M chassis. The Germans replaced the 5cm KwK 39 L/60 gun on the L and M versions with the 7.5cm StuK 37 L/24 howitzer. This is the same gun that was found on early Panzer IVs and early StuG IIIs.
This conversion consist of a one piece mantlet and gun cast in ivory resin. It is beautifully detailed to the point of even having the correct rifling of the barrel.
Clean-up will only consist of removing the small casting plug and will only need sanded down if you are planning on doing an interior.
This product is meant to convert the Tamiya Panzer III Ausf. L (35215). My guess is that it would also work for the DML Panzer III Ausf. M/N kit if you wanted to take advantage of the beautiful detail of this gun and mantlet.
Highly recommended for German armor enthusiasts.
